Extreme heatwave with dogs
In the current weather, the best place for a dog is AT HOME!
Our house is currently 24 degrees Celsius, despite the lack of air conditioning.
Outside in the shade, it's 36 degrees Celsius.
In the sun, the temperature is 45-55 degrees Celsius.
The temperature of surfaces like sidewalks, concrete, or asphalt can reach 60 degrees Celsius.
Please don't plan walks or outings during the day in these conditions. It's safer to go first thing in the morning or after sunset. We also had plans – a family trip and a dog show in Krakow. However, we chose to relax at home and in the shade of the garden.
Don't plan even excessively active water activities with your dogs. Cold water actually reduces the risk of heatstroke (symptoms: heavy panting, apathy, balance problems, and vomiting), but dogs are at risk of water poisoning. And no, we're not talking about contaminated water. (...)

Is dog breeding unethical?
A storm erupted under the post about Runa's pyometra. Besides the many kind comments and expressions of support, for which we sincerely thank you, there was also considerable hate.
While pyometra itself isn't reserved for breeding female dogs, it seems that words like "puppies," "mating," or the mention of the uterus were enough of a trigger. People were outraged – our dog got sick, so "we neglected him," "used him to give birth over and over again," "he's our money machine," and as a result, "all the animals in the shelter are suffering too."
It doesn't matter how Runa is actually treated.
We breed dogs, so we're angry. As was also said in the comments – it doesn't matter that the commenters don't know us personally; they don't need to know us to pass judgment. And they won't change their minds, no matter how many arguments you put forward – nothing will convince them. (...)

We are expecting puppies - pregnancy confirmed
Just so you know, there are also good news... :) At the end of July, we'll be welcoming the "J" litter, Celebrian's first puppies, and thus our first puppies from a female dog with our kennel name.
I chose a proven dog for my sire – one I've had the opportunity to observe for years at numerous dog shows, where he captivated me with his composed and balanced personality. At the same time, he gave us wonderful puppies from Torvi last year, which confirms that Isidoro (Tris) passes on his qualities to his offspring.
We're expecting medium-energy, well-balanced puppies with a slightly stronger build and medium size.
